Waterway Stories: Interpreting the Babblings of Water

Description: In partnership with the Aquarena Center of Texas State University at San Marcos, we are pleased to feature a TEKS-aligned unit on "Waterway Stories: Interpreting the Babblings of Water". This unit contains six lessons designed to help students discover and describe the interacting natural and human systems that are connected to waterways. Students will build this systems understanding as they create a waterways wall map that captures their waterways knowledge and observations.

Number of Activities: 6

  • Lesson One: "What are our waterways?"
  • Lesson Two: "Where oes the water come from?"
  • Lesson Three: "Where does the water go?"
  • Lesson Four: "What is the quality of this water?"
  • Lesson Five: "Who relies on this water?"
  • Lesson Six: "What story does this water have to tell?"
