Title: Director of the Dolphin Communication Project
Job Description: Dr. Dudzinski focuses her attention on research into dolphin communication in the Bahamas and Japan and on the development of education programs with D.C.P. With DCP and MA/IFE, Kathleen is developing a new research program on dolphin behavior and communication in Honduras.
Dudzinski works with both the spotted and bottlenose dolphins in the Bahamas and Japan, respectively. In 2002, Kathleen became an Adjunct Faculty member in Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi. With Dr. Stan Kuczaj, Kathleen advises two to three graduate students currently studying various aspects of dolphin sounds and behavior. Kuczaj and Dudzinski are preparing protocols for gathering data on dolphin behavior with a focus on comparing data from both captive and wild study sites.
